Robotics Student Seminar: Denis Tra Bi, Jallalah Abdullah, "NASA Swarmathon" Robotics Student Seminar Denis Tra Bi, Jallalah Abdullah, Gireesh Suresh and Jill Granados Abstract The objective of Swarmathon is to code virtual robots and create an algorithm that collects as many cubes as possible within an area and return them to a center base. Depending if you're doing the virtual or physical Swarmathon competition, some aspects change. We will be doing the virtual competition, which means all the robots exist in an entirely virtual environment. The virtual simulation relies on ROS (robot operating system) and runs on a Linux operating system, Ubuntu. The code itself is in C++. We used the IDE QTCreator to edit the code.
