Cover Letters & Professional Correspondence Workshop In your job search, you want to show off your written communication skills. An effective cover letter can be the key to getting an interview. In this workshop, we discuss how to write a cover letter that will get the attention of the employer. We'll practice writing an email to request information about a potential employer. We will also discuss if, how, and when to send follow-up correspondence after submitting an application. Bring a pen and, if possible, a printed job description for a position that interests you.
