Ford Future of Transportation Lecture Series: Scott Drennan (BSAE '93) Generously sponsored by Ford Scott Drennan (BSAE '93) Vice President, Innovation - Bell
Bell’s Vice President of Innovation, Scott Drennan, will discuss Bell’s vision that will revolutionize transportation in cities. Scott will share his perspective on how smart cities will come to life, as well as insight on overcoming key barriers, ranging from regulation to the interaction with the surrounding environment and infrastructure, and ultimately, what operating, working, and living in an autonomous future will look like. Scott Drennan joined Bell in 1993 after receiving a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and working as a co-op student at GE Aircraft Engines. He holds a Master of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University. Scott’s career focus on advanced VTOL technologies and configurations has included work on the V-22, and more recently as chief engineer of the Bell 609 program and director of air vehicle integration. He is currently a member of the NASA Advisory Council Aeronautics Committee. Scott is proud to carry on Bell’s rich tradition of innovation. The innovation team’s mission is to radically innovate technologies towards novel and coveted vehicle lift experiences.
