Fincantieri Marine Group Information Session Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) is the U.S. subsidiary of Italian enterprise Fincantieri S.p.A., one of the world’s largest shipbuilders. FMG employees more than 2,500 in the U.S., and is creating an additional 1,000 jobs over the next two years in support of the $5.5.B contract to build the new class of frigates for the U.S. Navy. FMG is also adamant that sustainability will be a factor in all activities, much like it is with the parent company, Fincantieri S.p.A.. Two of the Wisconsin shipyards recently received “Green Marine” certification. During the Information Session, students will learn about Fincantieri business, new and ongoing contracts, innovation efforts, sustainable culture, and job positions. Specifically, several videos will be shown where Fincantieri products and technologies are highlighted. A few slides will address Fincantieri’s presence in the World and in the USA, with particular emphasis on our unique ‘system of yards. The design and construction of the next generation of guided-missile frigates, one of the most strategic projects for the US Navy, will be presented and thoroughly discussed. To conclude, we will show job opportunities, some financial information, and our tireless effort in building sustainable shipyards.
