US Navy Aircraft Landing In flight test, we test aircraft and weapon systems along with our Navy & Marine Corps pilots to verify and validate that it is suitable for our military! We test fighter jets, helicopters/tiltrotors, and even unmanned aircraft. Often times we travel for work wherever the mission calls for, whether that is on U.S. Navy ships, out in the desert, or even in climactic chambers to test how cold our aircraft and operate in! To give UMD a glimpse of what we do, we are bringing a few U.S. Navy & Marine Corps aircraft to College Park! Our pilots will fly us up to College Park, where we hope to meet UMD engineering students, give them a tour of the various aircraft we will be bringing, discuss what we do, and discuss internship/full-time opportunities with NAVAIR. We are happily accepting resumes! You will have the chance to talk to a diverse group of engineers and Naval aviators! We will be staged at the College Park airport (1909 Corporal Frank Scott Dr, College Park, MD 20740) from 11:00am to 3:00pm. You can easily get to the airport by taking the UMD Shuttle to the College Park Metro station and then walking to the airport (5 minute walk). Rain Date: Thursday, 10/12, 11a-3p
