John Anderson

 

Professor Emeritus John D. Anderson was selected to receive the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Hypersonic Systems and Technologies Award for 2012. This award recognizes sustained, outstanding contributions and achievements in the advancement of atmospheric, hypersonic flight and related technologies. Dr. Anderson was recognized for his lifelong achievement in the advancement of scientific knowledge in hypersonic gas dynamics and its application to hypersonic flight through seminal research, teaching, and publication.
